Hello everyone,

I was born in Springhill on 13 November 1956, just twelve days after the 1 November 1956 mining disaster.  I was put up for adoption shortly after my birth.  I was moved to Halifax and adopted there.  It is my wish to find my Birth Parents or information about my birth family.  It has been suggested to me that my placement for adoption was the result of my Birth Mother being widowed from the 1 Novemeber disaster.  If that is the case, then my Birth Mother would have been 9 months pregnant during the disaster - that should have been noticed - especially if her husband/boyfriend was lost in the accident.  Any information that you may have would be appreciated.

By the way, this is a wonderful site.
