I had the great good fortune to have Donald Jack as a friend of my family since I was about four years old until he died, a span of over forty years.  My father worked with him shortly after we first moved to Canada from Iceland (hence the Iceland link in his books) and we're even fortunate enough to have a number of our family's anecdotes improved and made into wonderful material within some of his books.
I'm adding this new topic so hopefully some more of Don's friends and co-workers can come forward to share the fun we had with Don, his wife Nancy, and daughters Maren and Lulu.  With luck, we can collect memories of Donald Lamont Jack, the man, and the family and friends who helped shape him.
