I am not originally from here. I moved two years ago for health reasons. I have information from all branches of the family tree although not many families are complete. If you are still in the area I would like to know if you would like to meet and share information gathered. If not I can email you a Family History report of the info I have. I am also expecting more info this week or next from the son of Gladys Pike who a is close family friend. My father is a quiet man and his family was never discussed so he has not much info for me. I look forward to hearing from you. Mik

I'm surprised by your email.  I grew up in Chatham Head, NB.  I graduated from James M. Hill.  As far as my father knew, there were no relatives in the immediate area. But he was a quiet man when it came to the family. I'm attempting to trace the family history and have run into several obstacles as both my parents were only children.

Pleaman Pyke was my great uncle who died before I was born.  His widow Ida has been the only contact that I have with the family.  Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

I am related to Pleaman Pyke through my grandmother Ethel MacDonald nee Pike. I have recently been to Hillside Cemetery and taken pictures of headstones and I have been researching the Pike/Pykes for a while. I may have some information for you and it would be best to tell me what you need as the information is lengthy. I live in Chatham, N.B..

I am the granddaughter of Margaret Coleman (Nee Pyke).  She was the sister of Pleaman Pyke who died in the bump of 1956.  Her son, my father, Edward Coleman died in 1996 in Newcastle, NB; however, he never really spoke about his family.  As a mother myself, I am attempting to capture my family history for my daughters.

I am led to believe that there were significant family issues, Margaret got divorce (which was not really acceptable at the time).  I would appreciate any information members of this forum may have about my grandmother or the family.  She died years before I was born.  If I am correct in my recollection, she died of breast cancer in the late 1950s.   She married Elmer Coleman sometime between 1939 and 1940, as my father was born on January 20th, 1941.
