As some Bandy fans may know, editor Douglas Gibson was sort of the godfather of The Bandy Papers, encouraging Donald Jack to extend Three Cheers For Me into the series we know as 9-vol The Bandy Papers. Doug just this month received the Order of Canada, a high honour that is Canada's equivalent of the knighthood Bandy received. Author Terry Fallis recently included Doug's own book on a reading list, along with Three Cheers For Me -- see below for Doug's blog post:
