Hi everyone

Their are pictures of my father and grandfathers in the
Springhill Miner's Museum.  I am trying to find out if its possible to get a copy of these pictures.  If anyone has any suggestions.  I have tried to call the museum but by the time I get home from work their is never any answer there.

Thank you
Marlene

Hello! Marlene ...

I just took a copy of your post to a Miners Museum volunteer who said they should be able to do something about the pictures you requested.

However, they will need to know the names of your father and grandfather.

Please let me know and I will forward the names along.

Hi Carl

Thank you for your reply.  Both of my grandfathers and my father worked in the mines for a number of years.  My dad can still tell me all of their tag numbers.  My grandfathers are Simeon MacDonald and William "Billy" Bickle.  My father's name is Stanley MacDonald.  Your help is just wonderful, I can't thank you enough.
Please let me know if your friend has any luck.

Thank you again.

Hello! Marlene ...

I have had a reply from the Museum in which they identified your grandparents as:
William Bickle Tag#487 was a Triprider.
Simeon McDonald Tag#1020 was a miner.

They did not find any photos of either ... however, they loaned a picture of your father Stanley as a member of a draeger crew at the 1958 disaster.

Please reply to:
carl.demings@ns.sympatico.ca
offline and I will send the picture as an attachment.
