Does anyone know anything aboout Watson Weaver?  I remember him coming to my grandmother's house on Church Street in the 50's...he was, I believe, a peddler.  I also believe he lived in a house at the bottom of Church Street.

I checked the 1901 and 1911 census for Nova Scotia and neither he or his family show up in Nova Scotia or other parts of Canada so they may have still been in Massachusetts.

doublechecked the 1901 census and found the family living in Malagash

http://automatedgenealogy.com
1901 Census of Canada/Nova Scotia/Malagash
Lewis Weaver, head, June 2, 1859
Nellie Weaver, wife, Aug 8, 1863
Lewis w. Weaver, son, March 19, 1895
Mary Weaver, daughter, June 12, 1899
Lewis is listed as a carpenter and they are all listed as born in Nova Scotia. You can look at the original documents at the site given above by using the split screen option.

www.ancestry.ca
has a family tree with Watson Weaver included. If this isn't your tree, you may want to make contact with the owner.

Good luck
