Does Sybertooth own the rights to the RCI radio play? Has anyone thought of trying to digitize it from one of the remaining copies? There are 6 listed online at various libraries. Link posted in the next message.

Super-annoying, I can't post a link. You'll have to google Worldcat and search for Three Cheers for Me, I believe the radio play is the third result.

Hi Jordan,

Sorry for the delay in replying. Sybertooth doesn't have the rights to the old RCI radio play from the 70s. I would guess that either RCI or an independent producer would hold the rights, which were probably originally only licensed for radio broadcast (rather than recording sales), as the only known recordings are LPs intended for radio station use. (And for a limited time, perhaps. As I recall, dimly, the LPs had an "expiry date" on them -- "not to be broadcast after...").

RCI or the CBC's archivist might be able to answer the question of rights by looking up the original paperwork around the production.
